"It was Sunday. The Serbian Orthodox church was filled with many people, mostly traders who came to town for business affairs. My God! What a colourful lot it was! The elegant Serbs, the classy Bosnians, the moustached men from Herzegovina, the brave Montenegrins, the robust Dalmatians, the serious men from the Old Serbia and a whole suite of Serbs from all southern Serbian lands were praying to God together, one next to another. From the choir’s balcony, where the singing ensemble „Jadrana“ was singing, just like a cure for the soul the sounds of Lvovsky’s liturgy were coming down. Rays of light from many coloured oceans, as angels’ swords, intertwined and flickered above the pious Christians’ heads…"
